Commissioned by Nagasaki Prefectural Kita High School to support their inquiry curriculum, we assembled "Polaris Q" — a volunteer team of seven local professionals. For three years, we co-design and run an inquiry program alongside the class entering in 2025, from initial framework design through in-class facilitation.
Our goal is to move beyond the traditional teacher-student, school-community divide, and build a new model of school-community PBL where all parties learn alongside each other.
Members include: Steve Takeshita (freelance), Mitsuhiro Hayashida (Representative Director, Peace Education Lab Nagasaki), Risa Yamano (Kita High alumna / Fukuoka Women's University), Tetsuro Ishimaru (CEO, ISIAL Group), Kyosuke Mori (Tsukurunowa Design), Yumi Yoshino (Main personality, FM Nagasaki), and Taikai Kodai (Buddhist monk, Kyosoji Temple) — along with myself. Together, we are working to create an inquiry program that sets a new standard for the next generation.
